Our Highway Cleanup - DONE!

Thanks to the leadership of Diane and Dave Macdonald, our 5 Km stretch of Highway 40 is cleaned up once again.
Eleven Rotarians & friends met at Wedge Pond on Saturday September 9th. It was a beautiful day with the sun shining and next to no wind. Everyone set out wearing their bright orange safety vest and with garbage bags. This provided time for chatting about all kinds of things while getting some fresh air and exercise. By 11:30 am the sides of highway 40 were all cleaned up and the team had a great picnic lunch. Of course Disconausaurus Rex was there and did her part in picking up trash. The only widlife we encountered were the countless butterflies, one of which took a shine to Steacy's vest!
