Say “Hello” to our New Members

If you’ve been to the recent in-person meetings, you’ve probably seen some new faces. We’ve added several new members to the roster since November and we haven’t been able to keep up with doing profiles in the COG. I’m going to give you a short version today; then we’ll do individual high-lights in the coming editions.
Lindsay Marczak
Lindsay has been a part of Rotary since a young age when she was a member of the Calmar Interact Club in high school. She started volunteering on international projects back then and she hasn’t stopped! She went to Nepal with Trevor Ironside in the fall to help with his project there. You’ll hear more about Lindsay soon.
Chris Ward
Chris works in the wealth management field. He came to our meetings with one of our members before he decided to join our club – and we’re very glad he did. Welcome, Chris.
Nadia Maarouf
Nadia came to Calgary from Morocco where women’s and girl’s rights are still undermined. She says that her parents valued education and supported her to get one. She spent time studying in the UK, then came to U of C where she obtained her PhD in cardiac sciences and is a clinical scientist conducting clinical trials.
Tina Mao
Tina is an entrepreneur with an educational background in Business, and Entrepreneurship/Innovation. She is the founder of a charter transportation service based in Calgary. Tina hopes to find out more about our community’s real needs and how to help deal with them.
Meaghan Ralston
Meaghan is also an entrepreneur with a specialization in visual marketing. She opened Maggie Jane Marketing in 2021. Perhaps you can help us with the COG, Meaghan! Meaghan has also been actively involved in the community in many ways.
If you see any of these folks at a meeting, please introduce yourself and make them feel welcome. We are very fortunate that they have chosen our Club as their gateway into community service.
