Rotary Clubs span more countries than the United Nations! These clubs are where magic happens as members gather for fellowship and service projects. Rotary International, with its global reach, supports clubs through a structured system of leadership and mechanisms to ensure impactful community service. With this kind of global reach, you can be sure that there is a support structure to ensure club vibrancy and impact to the community.
A Rotary district encompasses local clubs for administrative support. We are in District 5360, led by District Governor Christina Hassan. Our District 5360 covers Lacombe to Pincher Creek, Banff to Swift Current & Kindersley, with 1,507 members across 49 clubs (including 44 Rotary Clubs, 1 Satellite Club, and 4 Rotaract Clubs).
Districts like ours offer monthly learning sessions and annual seminars to guide leaders. In addition, there are District Committees supporting club members; for example the District Membership Committee supports clubs in their quest for increasing membership. Districts are grouped into Rotary Zones and ours is Rotary zones 28. Zones are paired and we are paired with Zone 32. This Zone pair includes Districts across Canada, USA, Bermuda, and France (the Islands of St. Pierre & Miquelon off Newfoundland). Each zone is led by a Rotary International Director and team of leaders who foster club health and vibrancy.
