Our efforts in assisting Syrian Refugees are not going unnoticed. CBC has an excellent story about efforts of many groups across Canada to assist the Syrians with everything from language training, to banking to overcoming personal trauma. The article notes that “Over the past year, the Syrian Refugee Support Group, the Rotary Club of Calgary and the Syrian Women's Club have been actively matching Syrian families in Calgary with Canadians to help them build personal connections and practise English.”

Members of the established Syrian diaspora in Canada are trying to bridge the gap between the wait for language services and demands on the ground from refugees who have arrived in Canada over the past year.
