Introducing the Connections Committee
Garth Toombs
We have recently formed a new "Connections Committee, the purpose of which is to strengthen the heart of the Club by reaching out to members in times of need, to encourage fellowship and engagement and to connect with new members supporting their transition into Rotary.

Committee members will phone or attempt other means of contact to support this purpose, and anyone can call to suggest contacts or to get some advice.  The questions uppermost - how are you doing?   Are you connected?  Are you on a committee?  Have you made or do you have Rotary friends?

Of particular concern is staying in touch when someone is sick, possibly had a hospital stay or a serious illness or even death in the family. We want to know about it so we can reach out and be there for each other.  We want the membership to know, where it is not confidential, so that Rotary friends can express their support.

Sometimes newer members leave Rotary because they have not made friends.  We want to see this change.  We will also remind sponsoring members of their duty to follow-up.

Please pass on any advice, leads or suggestions to any member of the committee.  Also contact us if you would like to join the committee.
