Rick Erven is looking for golfers	We sang O’ Canada accompanied by Michael Pierson. Bill Avery provided us with the invocation. President Sid chaired the meeting. Sid announced reminded the membership that we will need the entire club’s support for the soon to be announced Wednesday Rotary BBQ at Fort Calgary during Stampede week. The Shock and Awe marketing approach kicks off today for the Wednesday show, with Headliners Tom Cochrane with Red Rider, as well as Sloan, Trooper, and Steven Page. Special pricing runs from now until June 11 starting at $29 and with plenty of VIP options available. Rick Erven reminded members about the upcoming SIS Golf Tournament and the need for golfers, sponsors, and swag.
Chloe Ermantrout, Outbound Student	David Leslie announced the upcoming youth exchange inbound and the related requirement for Host Families. Barbara Young spoke briefly about how fantastic their hosting experience in the past had been and asked that members consider being a Host Family this year. Please speak to Trevor, Craig Henderson, Barbara Young or Laurene Wilson about the experience. We also heard from Chloe Ermantrout about the upcoming Outbound Student – YEX Dinner. Unfortunately it conflicts with our Lobsterfest.
SIS grad, Jessica Le gives thanks	Carl Smith introduced Jessica, who is a SIS graduate and she expressed her appreciation for being selected and all that it has done to help her and her Mom. She will be graduating from Mount Royal this month (BA in Psychology) and has lots of further education plans for grad school.
Tim leads a homage to Lobsterfest	Tim Heaton mentioned the upcoming June 3^rd Lobsterfest. Online registration has closed. Please contact Ken Moraes at 403-975-1589 if you want to attend. Tickets are $40 each. There is a steak option also and kids are $10 with a hotdog option. His sing song included two “east coast” guests. BBQ shirts are available again this year from Gord Walker. Cost is $60. Purchase them at the lunch meetings. After the guest speaker, Sid adjourned the meeting.
