Howie Shikaze on Community Hubs |
Tim announced a Rotaract fundraising event for this Saturday at the Hillhurst Sunnyside Community Hall (1320 5 Ave NW). Price is $35 And it starts at 7pm with a James Bond theme (RIP Roger Moore). Tickets available via Rotaract website and Tim Heaton is going with a large group and can likely point you in the right direction. (Editor’s Note: Oops … This event was erroneously reported in the last COG to conflict with Lobersterfest (last weekend). It is this weekend.) Howie introduced the Community Hubs official launch event (June 28th from 3pm to 6pm at Village Square Leisure Centre). This is the official announcement of the partnership between Rotary, The United Way, and the City of Calgary. The event will include a Rotary community BBQ. Bruce Graham gave an update on the Oxford Stomp and the Stampede Shaker and asked our members to promote both events in our networks. |
