It is hard to believe but we are already into month five of the Rotary year. The only problem may be that the LCD projector seems to dislike Bill Avery’s MAC laptop. Bill Avery gets credit for the best sports joke of the week, “ Would the lady who dropped off the 6 kids at Maple Leaf Gardens please pick them up. They are beating the Leafs 3-1.

Lorne Larson introduces new member Cheryl Hamelin
 
 
Lorne Larson introduced new member Cheryl Hamelin. She gets 1 point net for reducing the average age of the club and improving the gender balance. Had she not been born in Saskatchewan…. Welcome Cheryl. You can read more about Cheryl on the club web site.
 
Michael Colborne was the next person at the microphone to tell us why he gives to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International and the Calgary Rotary Clubs Foundation. Michael knows that the directors of both foundations base their decision on the Rotary Four-Way Test ensuring the highest ethics. Mike encouraged everyone to consider supporting our Foundations. Good advice!

Vlad Dillion invited all of us to help the Veteran’s Food Bank.
 
December 6 is the Annual Seniors Christmas Party at the Jack Singer Concert Hall. By now, everyone has an email inviting them to sign up to be bus attendants. See you there.
