This is what our community partners are expressing. How do we respond?
These are some of the comments we received at our Major Donations Committee consultation with 13 of our community partners that our committee has supported over the past 3 years.
It was an eclectic group of agency leaders: some that receive no government funding and depend solely on philanthropy to some who have large government contracts; some with operating budgets of less that a $1million with others with budgets of over $10M; and with diverse service foci (e.g. a school, providing school lunches to providing auto mechanic training for youth at risk).
All these partners appreciated the opportunity to come together. They indicated an openness for Rotary to use its brand and convening power to identify opportunities for collaboration leading to increased efficiency and effectiveness.
