Michael will be talking about his recent trip to Uganda and learning of the fine work our Club has funded and supported through the Rotary Club of Kalisizo and the Rotary Club of Lucaya.
Michael grew up in London and went to school and Hotel Management College there. He emigrated to Canada in 1971, and spent 15 years managing hotels for Four Seasons and Canadian Pacific, including the Banff Springs, Chateau Lake Louise, and Palliser. He joined the Rotary Club of Calgary in 1984, and in 1986 joined his partner Anthony Tonkinson in a travel franchise, Goligers Travel, which they built into Canada’s largest independent agency through mergers and acquisitions, with sales in excess of 750 million.
