Alberta’s Electricity Sector: A Time of Great Change.

Marcy Cochlan, TransAlta’s Manager of Market Regulation, will be talking about the Alberta Power Sector and the major transition that it’s going through as a result of new environmental regulations, including those introduced in the Alberta government’s Climate Leadership Plan. 

Marcy has 23 years of experience in the electricity industry, holding a number of progressively senior positions at TransAlta since joining the company in 1993. Prior to specializing in market regulation, she has held roles in the areas of policy development, sustainable development, business development, energy trading, and energy marketing.

She holds both a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Calgary.
