Hank Popoff addressed the Rotary Club of Airdrie today on the Rotary Foundation. The Foundation is administered by Rotary International and it makes grants available to Rotary clubs to do approved projects.
The Foundation received its ninth consecutive annual four-star rating from Charity Navigator for exceeding industry standards and out-performance of most charities in similar fields of endeavor:
Last rating (2016) was 100 pts/100pts. It was recognized by the Association of Fundraising Professionals in 2017 with its annual Award as the Outstanding Foundation for commitment and leadership through financial support, innovation, encouragement of others and involvement in public affairs. It also received the Gates Award for Global Health, and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has already support the Foundation’s Polio Eradication to the tune of $US 880m.
