Tree Planting

Dear Rotarian,

The completion of our RDS District Grant project—planting trees in the International District—is scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2020, 8:30 am—12:00 pm.   We'll be planting 45-50 trees along streets and a few trees in parks.

We will need 30 volunteers to make the work go as quickly as possible.  Rotarians are welcome to bring family and friends.  It will be important to know who plans to participate and to get advance sign ups.  If we have a good turnout, we'll finish before 12:00 noon for sure.  Participants should wear closed-toed shoes, and bring a mask, hat, gloves, sunscreen and water.  No need to bring tools.  The rendezvous point is 120 Mesilla Street NE.

We can complete the project within whatever mass gathering restrictions are in place at the time, we will split up into small teams of 5 people each.  Our RDS group will be joined by some volunteers from the International District neighborhoods.
