Our friend Christine Gliden continues to work helping the less fortunate on the Navajo Nation!  You may already know that the Disaster Relief grant money she requested from RI came through.  That’s great news and we are ready to act immediately on the project!

For every Saturday into the future, we are seeking drivers with trucks or large SUV’s to drive out to various locations on the native lands. Two or so hours out, one hour unloading, two or so hours back.  We start at 8-830am and it's a 5- or 6-hour commitment, depending on the location.  It’s the chance of a lifetime to visit this area and meet some of the people.  Loading/unloading abilities not necessary.  Muscle provided by others.

Loading up is Friday around 4 or 5pm at the Abq. Collective on Eubank south of Construtution.  We’ll leave Albuquerque at 8am on Saturday from the Applebees near I-40 and Coors, on the northwest corner.

This is a wonderful opportunity to do the work of Rotary.  To dig in and meet the basic needs of our neighbors who are at risk for hunger and thirst. It is a dire situation and we are grateful to be able to assist.

To sign up as a volunteer truck and driver, please navagate to:  volunteersignup.org/WA83X

Remember, if you sign up to be a driver on Saturday, you also need to be at the Collective on Friday to load up!
