Jacqueline is once again going to host our Rotary de Sol Freeloaders potluck dinner on Saturday July 16th at 6:00 PM.
This will be the first of our new Rotary year events as well as a celebration of Bastille Day (The actual day is July 14th) to honor Jacqueline's French heritage. You can impress Jacqueline with your knowledge of a few facts about this day. 1) July 14th is only called Bastille Day in English speaking countries; In France it is known as Fete National Francaise or French National Celebration. 2) The day celebrates the storming of the Bastille on July 14,1789, and the Fete de la Federation on July 14,1790. 3) The double LL in Bastille is silent as in tortilla.
Jacqueline will be serving small beef kebab's and cold salmon. Attendees are asked to bring appetizers, salads, side dishes and desserts. Please contact Jacqueline directly to RSVP as well as letting her know what you would like to bring. Her contact information is below.
