Alligator Festival
The festival is Thursday, Sept. 24 – Sunday, Sept 27. We need to provide gate entry for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Friday is 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. We need at least 4, 5 would be better. Saturday is the big day – 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., 12 hours, if we do this in 4 hour shifts, we need probably 6 per shift (total 18). Sunday is 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., it will be similar to Saturday, but with a bit less work.
Habitat for Humanity Build with Metairie
On October 10th, the Rotary Club of Metairie will be participating in a Habitat for Humanity Build Day. The Rotaract at Tulane group will bring more than 20 volunteers that day.

Prospective Member Social
Our prospective member social event will be on Tuesday, Oct. 27 – the Tuesday leading into Halloween. Let’s all try and get some treats together to entice new members to join us! If you have recently met someone that you feel would make a great new Rotarian, invite them to our prospective members night and tell Membership Chair CJ Jumonville.
We need SPEAKERS:
We STILL have LOTS of holes in our schedule. Jason will be assigning each member to come up with a guest speaker in the coming weeks. If you have someone who might make a good speaker, please let me, Meredith Robinson, or Anna Simpson know.
Guest speaker: None
In lieu of a guest speaker, the club participated in team building exercise with CJ. CJ had everyone describe themselves in a word then everyone else used a word to describe them also. It was a fun and interesting exercise.
