Welcome to the Rotary Club of New Orleans Riverbend!

Rotary International is one of the world's most important volunteer service organizations, donating hundreds of millions of man-hours and dollars each year to vital philanthropic and social causes.  The Rotary Club of New Orleans Riverbend is one of 6 clubs operating in the city of New Orleans, composed of a group of young, devoted leaders in business and philanthropy, dedicated to making both their community and the world a better place for all.

Amongst Rotary's best-known worldwide programs is its campaign to end the disease polio, known as End Polio Now.  In addition to supporting this vital cause, the Rotary Club of New Orleans Riverbend has focused in our own New Orleans community in the areas of education and literacy, homelessness, peace and reconciliation.  Through partner organizations, we also support a major series of water projects in Kenya.

In recognition of our club's legacy of service, the Rotary Club  have twice been honored as the District 6840 "Small Club of the Year" (2010-11, 2014-15) and our club was awarded the Rotary International Presidential Citation in 2014-15.

The Rotary Club of New Orleans Riverbend was formed in May, 2010, as one of the first clubs in District 6840 that met at night, with a majority female and majority younger membership.  Our Club's emphasis has always been on performing service first, and leading by example.  Today, many of our club members have gone on to leadership positions in our southeast Louisiana and Mississippi Rotary District.

Our club is very welcoming to newcomers to New Orleans, newcomers to Rotary, and also long-established Rotarians who wish to become involved with a very active, hands-on club.  If you wish to use your energy to be part of the positive changes in our community and in our world, and wish the company and support of fellow engaged leaders, then joining us in fellowship and service could be the greatest decision you will ever make.

I encourage you to look at the work we have done, attend a meeting, join us for a service project, or tell us about the work you are doing and how we can help to learn more about what it means to be a Rotarian.

Thank you for visiting our website.  You are always welcome to join us in fellowship.  Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Yours in Service,

Jason D. Sanchez

President, 2015-16
