Meeting minutes 9 July 2012

The meeting on July 16th will be a club planning session.  Come ready to share your ideas for the future of the club

We will have a board meeting on July 21st from 2-5.  The location is TBD. 

There will an e-meeting on July 23.  We will NOT be meeting at Phillips.

Grants are due August 15th.  Carl Michel and Jason Sanchez are certified by the district.

                Tony Lamanna is to get Ozanam Inn contact information to Bridget Kelly.

Trivia is on the 30th this month.  Try to bring a team to play.

The club runner website is up and running.  Bridget Kelly will provide an overview presentation on the 16th

Please remember these new guidelines on checking in and closing up at the Ogden

                Make sure to sign in at the front Desk

                If you are not working the bar, please pay the admission or use your membership.

At the end of the night, wait at the bar for Raleigh to come get the bank.  Do not take it to the gift shop or give it to the security guard.

                Please take out all the pour spouts and recap all the bottles at the bar.

Guest Speaker

District Governor Barbara Mauldin spoke about the rotary theme “Engage Rotary-Change Lives.”  In her year as governor, we will be participating in the following programs as a district; Youth Exchange, Vocational Training Team, Ambassadorial Scholar, and GSE. 

Barbara wants to remind Rotarians that our money can go a long way for polio eradication.  Bill Gates is matching each rotary dollar 2 for 1.  New Polio cases have been found in Chad, Cameroon, and Kenya.

A district seminar is on the 17th of August.

The district mid-year check up is on the 11th of January 2014.

The district conference is in Biloxi on the 9th and 10th of May 2014.
