Our District Governor, Tracey Vavrek, made her official visit to our club on August 14, 2019 and shared her vision of the coming year.
Home of the District Governor, the Rotary Club of Grande Prairie After Five. This young, fun club has more than doubled in size in its six years since chartering.
It is proud to support the Dolly Parton Imagination Library for over 500 young children in the City of Grande Prairie, provide and serve meals to the less fortunate semi-monthly at the Friendship Centre, quietly help move disabled and elderly citizens who have no other means, annually assist the Merv Crouse Coats for Kids Campaign, as well as partner in multi-club events such as the Annual Food Bank Drive, Rotary Day and Green-A-Thon.
On an international basis, the club has been involved in youth exchange, disaster relief for Ecuador and Dominica, Highway to Mexico and Project Amigo.
This Little-Engine-That-Could Club is also very proud of it's fun events such as Grande Prairie's Smartest Person, The Zombie Run and Grande Prairie Rotary Rib Festival, and is the sponsor of an Earlyact Club and an Interact Club. DG Tracey Vavrek
