Visit to RC Kampala East

I had the opportunity to visit RC Kampala East on Thursday at Hotel Africana 7pm. They had an induction and recognition of Paul Harris Fellows(PHFs). As the Director Membership I was quite inspired by the induction.
a. There were five new members and this is in the first month of the rotary year
b. All the new members were female. This was in the effort to reduce the dominance of male members in the club.
c. One of the members is a spouse of a past president of the club. This illustrates that we may actually be living with potential members and have just not extended that invitation to them.
d. The classifications of the new members were varied from the more recognized Financial, Teaching, School Admin services to the downright unique – Rock Music Promoting Services
An invitation to their Installation at Munyonyo 5pm on Saturday 21st 2012 was extended with advice to keep time as arrivals after the guest of honour may not gain access. The Guest of honour is Hon Janet M. Kataha.
