Visit to RC Bukoto

President Kennedy is a president with a difference, having heard how members were fairing in terms of ambassadorial reports and in trying to enhance the visibility of their club...he presented 12 makeup cards...hands up...and has attend literary all installations. Imperial Royal Hotel will surely be  flooded with make ups in honour of his installation too come this Friday.

He noted that this Rotary year is based on Peace through service and for that reason invites all Rotarians to join him at the National Theater on Tuesday 31st /07/2012 where he will be chief guest while Alfajiri Productions ltd presents "Silent Voice"- Voicing the Voice of the Voiceless... Very Important: Entrance is FREE.

Their Assistant Governor, who is a member of Rotary Club of Kampala Central, Annie Munywevu PP PHF was the guest speaker and took us through her club expectations for the year first with:

Important Announcement
·         Urged members of Bukoto and all other Rotarians to attend in large numbers the DGs visit to the different clubs while in Uganda. She was scheduled to visit RC Bukoto on 4th of September 2012.
·         While on her visit, DG does expect to receive different kinds of gifts for various reasons but she rather prefers we give them to the Rotary Foundation.
·         All her visits will be done during fellowship time for the different clubs and her visit to Kampala South will be scheduled for Monday, 6th August 2012 from 6-7pm Hotel Africana.
·         She is Vegetarian...NO MEATS HOWEVER DELICIOUS.

 

General Remarks
·         Thanked the IPP of Bukoto for her continuous and effective communication as President together with her Secretary.
·         AGs should visit the clubs they represent on a quarterly basis to know how the club is pushing on.
·         Asked both PPs and IPPs present to always beef up current Presidents and work together and was happy that IPP of Bukoto had not disappointed her.

She also noted that Rotary International's future vision is to have more of programs ie that of water coming up than to have simple projects...she urged rotary clubs present to always have a project of its known that can later turn into a big program for all
