PP Michael Ojok needs no introduction. You know him, you have seen him and you have felt him!! Let us fall straight in and here it from the Man himself.
ET: WHO IS ROTARIAN MICHAEL?
MO: I joined Rotary when I was a Project Engineer by then with Ministry of Works, Transport & Communication heading a Feeder Roads project in Kasese. Being upcountry the only interactions I had in the evening were the district government heads and other project managers in the district who were all Rotarians, so at an under-age for Rotary I was inducted into Rotary,
My classification is Civil Engineering Services and I am currently the Club SAA
ET: WHAT DO FRIENDS AND FAMILY SAY ABOUT YOU?
MO: My family and Friends say I am dedicated and committed Rotarian and they wonder how I have kept it on in Rotary service to communities who I even don't know their background!
ET: SURELY YOU HAVE SOME HOBBIES?
MO: of course. I enjoy Football and Athletics, being the fact I am a holder of a East ,Central & Southern African Senior Athletics Champions 1990 Gold medal for 4x100m relays and Silver medal 100m for Uganda.
ET: WHAT KEEPS YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT ROTARY?
MO: I became a Rotarian because of my admiration of Rotarians/their work and my initial interactions with Rotarians while working upcountry immediately after my graduation.
The service to community and the smile they give you at a successful service offered to them keeps me going on in Rotary.
ET: WHERE IS YOUR CALLING IN LIFE?
MO: My focus is entrepreneurship and high real estates.
ET: LAST WORDS?
MO: Basically everyday has challenges but always strive to have at least 80% achievements as opposed to challenges each day. Of course there days in life when challenges totally over-weigh (90% or more) achievements, take it on accept but there is definitely something great to learn from it! It may be the beginning of a success story for something great! Never forget to always laugh and smile in all situations in life!
