FRIENDS OF KAMPALA SOUTH
“Kampala South is my other club and I feel part of it. I actually belong to the Kabulasoke Buddy group.” Explains Marion Natukunda, the Vice President of RC Kiwatule. She finds the togetherness of the members of Kampala South interesting, and is inspired by the club’s visibility, its PR as well as the well organized and interesting and fellowships. She commends Kampala South for recognizing and welcoming guests. ”I got to know Rotary Club of Kampala South through members and friends in Kampala South and of course my mentor Rtn Aggrey Kankunda.”added Marion when asked how she got to know about the club.
She explains that the members of Kampala South are very warm and fun. Marion finds the Rotary meetings of the club very nice and innovative, and says the service projects of Kampala South are involving but not to a larger extent. She however notes that it also has the “usual suspect’s syndrome” like other clubs. She is also looking forward to executing Global Grants in partnership with the club.
As she concluded, Marion’s advice to the club is that the members should keep up the solidarity and keep on loving on each other and to the Board, they need to put emphasis on setting up a sustainable and a long term Project Team that will specifically look out for Global Grants and make sure the club executes as many as possible.
