PP RICHARD MAYEBO

Most of us are aware that they have contributed so much to Kampala South as a club, however we never dive deep into the specific ways, moments and events that made them who they are today. PP Richard Mayebo, known to the club as RFM says It has been a long while since I was President of the club (2002/2003) so some memories have faded since.” In this interview, he further shares his personal journey in the club as President.
 
Please tell us a bit about yourself.
 
I have been a Rotarian for 24 years, having joined the Rotary Club of Kampala South in 1996. Coincidentally, I got married to my wife Mercy a few months after joining Rotary, and we now have three wonderful daughters. I have worked in Information Technology for most of my life, and IT remains a passion for me.  1996 must have been an auspicious year – it is the year Mr. Arsene Wenger became the Manager of Arsenal Football Club, and soon thereafter I and many football fans become lifelong Arsenal supporters. The last few years have been lean (hopefully this will soon pass), but watching my team win a football match remains a pleasure, alongside listening to music over a fine whisky. Read more...
