On 17th-19th August 2018, the Rotary Club of Kampala South and Rotary Community Corp Nyanconga in partnership with Kabala Health Center III, Central Cancer Screening Kigezi Health Care Foundation, Rotaract Clubs of Kabale and Rotaract Clubs of Mbarara visited the community in Nyaconga Kabale district.
The health camp was spear headed by Past President Parity and Service Projects Director Rotarian Ritah. The oversight and smooth running of the health camp had doctors such as doctor Agoya, Rotarian Emmy and Rotarian Richard on site ensuring that proper treatment and distribution of medical supplies was done. We were also honored to be joined by Rotarians from Muyenga Breeze, Ssese Island and so on. We had over five guests joining and participating in the health camp and getting to know how Rotary projects are implemented. All Rotarians and guests actively participated in registering patients, providing drugs at the assigned stations and spoke to the community about health education. Rotarian Omo was seen playing with the children which brought smiles to their lovely faces.
Over 200 patients were treated among the Nyaconga community. Happiness and grateful expressions were seen among those who received treatment. Lunch was provided by Past President Parity’s mother who hosted everyone that had served the community in which she resides. Rotarians and guests were very appreciative for having had lunch at her home. For more details please click this link.
