MEMORABLE VISIT BY DISTRICT GOVERNOR

The Rotary Club of Kampala South was very proud to host the DG Robert Nsibirwa during their fellowship on Monday 31st August 2015. The DG commenced this visit by meeting the board members. The Directors all presented status reports which were scrutinized by the DG.
He commended the progress by the club, however he challenged the board to think bigger in the service projects and seek to attain at least five running global grants. He pledged to help the club seek partnering clubs all over the world to see this through. He was also alarmed by the gender imbalance within the club and advised the club to focus on recruiting more women because statistics show that women are more passionate at service projects and rotary work.
He spoke passionately about Rotary Vijana Poa and beseeched the club to incorporate this ideology into our service projects.
The DG concluded his visit by presenting the President with a special banner and scarf. He also presented Rotary branded gifts to the President of Rotaract Club of Kampala South and the President of Rotaract Club of IUEA.
The evening was crowned by the cutting of a ceremonial cake to celebrate the birthday of the club members who had birthdays during the month.
