On Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 8:00 a.m., all roads led to Kikandwa health center for the maternity ward commissioning and Rotary Club of Kampala South family health day camp. There were a number of services and activities offer. These included registration of patients, general medical clinics, nutrition, laboratory, cancer screening, HIV, Ultrasound scan, maternity, dental, optical, blood donation, pharmacy and health education.

In partnership with the Rotary Club of Des Moines, Drake University, the Kikandwa church, Rotary Community Corps team, the community leader and so on. We all come together to serve Kikandwa community. The inflow of patients for treatment was good as the maternal ward was being commissioned. Many patients walked away well attended to by some service providers like Dr. Agarwal's eye hospital Kampala and so on.

We were honored to be joined by a number of Rotary clubs and guests such as the Rotary Club of Kiwatute. Together we carried out various activities and services mentioned above. The health camp went on till 6.00 p.m. The community was very appreciative and happy. Only pictorial views of the commissioning day can best describe, "how humbling and successful the day was."
