District Governor Elect 2008 -09 made his maiden speech

DGE Kaushik Manek is a Charter member of Rotary Club of Muthaiga. He was president of the club in 2000/2001. He was the District Secretary in 2004/2005. He served as Assistant Governor for 3 terms between 2003 and 2006 and two terms as Country Vice Chairman between 2004 and 2006. He is a Major Donor to the Rotary Foundation. He deals in general trading, distribution, real estate, retail, manufacturing, insurance, freight forwarding, travel, investment and finance. He is the immediate past Chairman of the Nairobi Lohana Community. He is married to Geeta who is an active Rotarian, a Past District Annual Giving Officer and Past Assistant Governor.

They have one son, Shamil. He visited Kampala South on July 7, 2008
