Fellow Rotarians and Rotaractors, I wish to welcome you back from the 90th District Conference & Assembly in Tanzania and the Rotary International Convention in Brazil.
The DCA team now invites you to the 91st District Conference& Assembly ( DCA 91) that will take place form 11th-14th May 2016 at the Imperial Resort Beach Hotel in Entebbe.
The Rotary International theme for next year is ‘Be A Gift To The World’ and to promote the spirit of friendship within the District, each Rotarian will get a special friend. Take time throughout the year to nurture these relationships and share with us your stories of friendship at the friendship celebration at the DCA 91.
Our planning for a memorable DCA is in full throttle and we urge you all to be part of this process by registering and paying your registration fees early. On the 13th May afternoon before the choma, we will have a Rotary Community Outreach organized by the clubs on Entebbe Road namely: Lubowa, Kajjansi, Bwebajja, Nkumba and Entebbe. All Rotarians,Innerwheelers,Rotaractors, Interactors and guests will be expected to get their hands dirty as we make a big Rotary statement around Entebbe. The main events hotel is Imperial Resort Beach Hotel, Entebbe. However, all evening functions will take place in this and two sister hotels: Botanical Beach Hotel and Golf View Hotel. We also plan to use the Botanical Gardens.
As is the tradition in our district, our New Generations being integral to our existence and future survival, we have involved them in our planning all the way. We will be with our youths throughout except on the Assembly day when they too must hold theirs separately. Our Innerwheelers are also fully involved and are putting together fun filled activities including a visit to Ngamba islands and a movie night for our younger guests. The sports gala is also back and will feature among other things water and beach sports. Start practicing!
We will continue updating you on any developments and please feel free to give us feedback on your expectations of the DCA 91. This is your DCA.
