On 15th September, the Rotary club of Kampala South, the fastest growing club, was privileged to induct twelve members who had fulfilled the requirements for membership in a very exciting and extra ordinary induction ceremony. In the old tradition Southern style, members received their membership certificates and pins in a physical fellowship as was the norm pre-covid.They were privileged to have a number of Past Presidents of the club present, who participated in facilitating the induction process surrounded by family and friends of the inductees.
The inductees who come from diverse backgrounds, genders, ethnicities, are stationed in different physical locations and come from different professional disciplines will bring more of their expertise into the club as they serve. The inductees CVs were indicative of the rich experience ranging from banking, to Insurance marketing ,Political Science, Auditing, Engineering, ICT, Computer Science, the legal field, Community Psychology and Research. The inductees also included former rotaractors.
The ceremony had a few members attending physically and the rest online. The new members were welcomed into the Rotary fraternity the biggest humanitarian organisation and encouraged to embrace this new journey, participate in rotary activities and make a contribution of service through the various avenues whilst having fun .The different inductees indicated that they had joined rotary for a number of reason including to serve, network and have fun.
