Members of the club board attended an induction conducted by Rtn Andrew Muguluma of the RC of Kampala Ssese on Wednesday, 18th September at the Letshego board room in Kampala.

The induction focused on good Rotary leadership qualities and communication opportunities in the club.

The good leadership qualities that were identified included: Team playing, having patience, generosity, empathy and interpersonal skills; being a good motivator; appreciating or giving credit where it is due; having integrity; commitment to one’s responsibilities in the club; presence at club activities, good mobilization skills; a motivator; having a learning spirit and humility; and being exemplary and a mentor.

The communication opportunities identified in the club were: The club email, resource persons, club website/club runner, the e-bulletin, the ‘whatsup’ forum, facebook address, phones/sms messages, weekly meetings/fellowships, after fellowships, annual club retreats.

Among them, the voice to voice modes of communication i.e. telephone and meetings were considered the most effective. However, members were advised to balance all modes of communication.
