Launched on 9 January 2018, FRCS learning centre (previously known as Rotary Learning Institute of Singapore (RLIS) is a division of the Foundation of Rotary Clubs Singapore. As a registered charity and Institution of Public Character (IPC), we are dedicated to serving the needs of the community in Singapore. Suitable for participants from all ages and walks of life, these courses provide the opportunity for betterment in 3 key discipline – Personal, Professional and Community Development, to promote lifelong friendship, excellence in vocation, and sustainable service for the community.
Our tagline – Upskill yourself, Upgrade the Community is best exemplified with our wide range of personal development courses offered to serve the learning needs of seniors aged 50 and above. As an approved National Silver Academy Partner, our selection of courses primarily focuses around topics such as life stage transition and positive aging for our seniors (such as Arts & Craft, Healthy Living, Hobbies, Active Retirement to Digital Skills).
A SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) Approved Training Organisation (ATO), accredited under the WSQ Skills Framework, we provide courses for all levels of the workforce, from executives to senior management in our pursuit to enhance professional development – to empower them to go further in their careers. Our experienced trainers are leading experts in their field, and all are ACTA certified.
Our recently held WSQ approved classes had a resounding success! Participants in “Demonstrate Service Vision & Leadership” understood the importance, various factors and qualities to possess to improve workplace interpersonal relationship, and how adopting a service mindset is crucial towards organisational success.
For “Developing Powerful Youth Mentoring Skills”, we partnered with Mentoring Alliance SG to conduct this 2-day course, catered for youths to re-examine and understand the self-portraits, and how to better lead oneself onto personal goals, and sequentially be better at mentoring others through life’s challenges, personally or professionally! Our next course run will be in August, and you can head onto www.frcs.sg for more details!
Lastly, As part of our commitment to community development, our programs are supported by the National Council of Social Service (NCSS) and partially funded by the Voluntary Welfare Organization’s Charities Capability Fund for those serving in the Social Service sector.
We are proud to say we have benefitted over thousands of st since our establishment. With our Rotary’s vision of “providing opportunities to enhance skills and serving the community better”, we look forward to impacting more lives positively in such challenging times.
