Saturday Keynote Addresses:
Johrita Solari, Rotary International Vice President
Rotary International Vice President, Johrita Solari joined Rotary in 1993. As governor of District 5320, she organized the district’s first million-dollar dinner fundraiser for the Rotary Foundation and helped it become the second known district consisting of 100 percent Paul Harris Fellow clubs. She has served on the committee for the Foundation’s Peace Major Gifts Initiative. She is a Paul Harris Fellow, Major Donor and a member of the Arch Klumph Society.
Dean Rohrs, Rotary Foundation Trustee
Dean, her husband Rhino and their 3 children emigrated to Canada from South Africa 32 years ago. Dean grew up in Zambia and after marrying Rhino lived in Malawi, Namibia and South Africa. Dean was born into a Rotary family and when Rhino joined Rotary in 1986, became an active Rotary Ann until she joined in 1989. On arriving in Vancouver both Dean and Rhino joined the Rotary Club of West Vancouver and at present are members of the Rotary Club of Langley Central in District 5050.
Sunday Keynote Address: Brian Shul, retired Air Force attack pilot
Brian Shul is a Vietnam War- era attack pilot and a retired major in the United States Air Force (USAF). He flew 212 combat missions and was shot down near the end of the war. He was so severely burned that he was given next to no chance to live. Surviving, he returned to full flight status, flying the SR-71 Blackbird. Major Shul completed a 20-year career in the Air Force.
