We were honored to have Lauren Sisler as today's speaker at the 28th Annual Pillars of America Speaker Series. Lauren shared her inspiring story of finding strength, honesty and healing after losing both of her parents at the age of 18. Their secret battle with prescription drugs led to their overdose while they were under the care of a Doctor of Pain Management in the early 2000's. She spoke to the stigma and shame associated with addiction and the powerful journey back to hope, happiness, perseverance and recovery.
