The Juneau Glacier Valley Rotary Duckless Raffle is happening virtually again this year. While current social distancing guidelines would have allowed an in-person event, planning for this raffle begins almost a year in advance. Due to the uncertainty, we decided to continue forward with an online raffle. That being said, we’re still excited to raise money for the community and hopefully put some money and prizes in YOUR pocket, too!
WHAT IS IT FOR:
Glacier Valley Rotary hosts the annual raffle as a fundraiser to support many community projects including youth scholarships, upgrades to Riverside Rotary Park and more.
WHEN IS IT:
September 10, 2022 - - The drawing will take place at the Juneau Radio Center. The drawing will be on September 10th at 1 pm. Visit our Facebook page to view the drawing via livestream or GlacierValleyRotary.org to see the results.

Grand Prize - $5,000
2nd Prize - $1,000 and 2 roundtrip tickets from Alaska Airlines
3rd Prize - $1,500
4th Prize - $1,000

Online entry or paper entry
Information and payment information, from either online or paper entry forms, is entered into our database. Each duck ‘adopted’ is an entry to the raffle and a raffle stub will be generated on September 9th to be used in the drawing on September 10th.

Online “Adoptions” end September 9th at 6pm and all paper forms must be received by the Juneau Glacier Valley Rotary club by 7pm on September 9th. See official rules for more details.

SELECTION OF WINNERS:
Selection of Winning Entries – on September 10, 2022
Printed raffle stubs, containing entry information, will be checked with the adoption data prior to being placed into a large rotating raffle drum. Once they are placed in the drum the drum will remain locked until the drawing occurs.
Once all raffle stubs have been placed in the raffle drum it will be rotated several times. Juneau Glacier Rotary Club members will assist “Freda the duck” in selecting 10 winning raffle stubs. The drum will be rotated between each drawing. The first raffle stub drawn wins the 10th price – the last raffle ticket drawn wins the $5,000 grand prize.
All winners will be notified by phone or email.
The reason we do raffles like this is to help our community! Our fundraising efforts create the opportunity to do great projects in our community; we do the 9/11 memorial at Riverside Rotary Park, we help CBJ with improvements at Riverside Rotary Park, we have built playgrounds at three elementary schools, we participate in youth exchange, we provide high school and university scholarships. All the money we raise at events like this really helps these great projects!
