Juneau Duckless Raffle 2020 Information

This year’s Juneau Duck Derby was retitled the Juneau Duckless Raffle due to changing from a rubber duck derby to a raffle. We felt this was the best way to ensure safety and adhere to Covid19 social distancing guidelines related to large groups and to adjust to the current situation.
WHAT IS IT FOR:
Glacier Valley Rotary hosts the annual Duck Derby as a fundraiser to support many community projects including youth scholarships, upgrades to Riverside Rotary Park and more.
WHEN IS IT:
September 19, 2020 - - As we support our community's efforts to stay safe through social distancing, the drawing will be a virtual event. The drawing will be on September 19 at 1 pm. Visit our Facebook page for live coverage or GlacierValleyRotary.org to see the results.
PRIZES:
Grand Prize - $5,000
2nd Prize - $1,000 and 40,000 Alaska Airlines miles
3rd Prize - $1,500
4th Prize - $1,000
5th Prize - $500
6th Prize - $250
7th Prize - $250
8th Prize - $250
9th Prize - $125
10th Prize - $125
HOW TO ENTER:
Online entry or paper entry
Information and payment information, from either online or paper entry forms, is entered into our database. Each duck ‘adopted’ is an entry to the raffle and a raffle stub will be generated on September 18th to be used in the drawing on September 19th.

Online “Adoptions” end September 18 at 6pm and all paper forms must be received by the Juneau Glacier Valley Rotary club by 7pm on September 18, 2020 (see official rules for more details).

‘ADOPTION EVENTS’ – events where club members will assist those who want to enter submit their entry. Check out our calendar to see upcoming events.
Please note there is a change from prior years for the Doughnuts for Ducks events. Instead of handing out doughnuts we will provide each person completing an entry form at the event a coupon for a free donut from Breeze In. The coupon is valid until 9/20/2020.
SELECTION OF WINNERS:
Selection of Winning Entries – on September 19
Printed raffle stubs, containing entry information, will be checked with the adoption data prior to being placed into a large rotating raffle drum. Once they are placed in the drum the drum will remain locked until the drawing occurs.
Once all raffle stubs have been placed in the raffle drum it will be rotated several times. Juneau Glacier Rotary Club members will assist “Freda the duck” in selecting 10 winning raffle stubs. The drum will be rotated between each drawing. The first raffle stub drawn wins the 10th price – the last raffle ticket drawn wins the $5,000 grand prize.
All winners will be notified by phone or email.
The reason we do events like this is to be able to help our community! Our fundraising efforts create the opportunity to do great projects in our community; we sponsor the Pillars of America Speaker Series, we do the 9/11 memorial at Riverside Rotary Park, we create improvements at Riverside Rotary Park, we have built playgrounds at three elementary schools, we participate in youth exchange, we provide high school and university scholarships. All the money we raise at events like this really helps these great projects!
