We are excited to welcome our 2024-2025 President, Sr. Helena Madera-Silmi. Sr. Helena brings over 23 years of non-profit experience to our organization. She currently serves as the Charitable Aid Director for Al-Misbaah, an Elk Grove non-profit dedicated to serving youth and the needy community. In addition to her directorial role, Sr. Helena is an active member of several boards and committees, including the CDSS State Advisory Council and the City of Elk Grove Measure E Committee, among others.

2024 Kohl's Shopping Spree

Kohl's Shopping Spree is one of many ways community organizations come together to support students in the Elk Grove Unified School District. Laguna Sunrise Rotary showed up with several chaperones. The club and members supported 10 of the 100 students who received school supplies and new clothes. The Soroptimists provided backpacks, the Elk Grove Lions provided a pancake breakfast and the Elk Grove Optimists provided eye exams as well as organized the entire event!!!

Run for Independence

August 9, 2023, was a tragic day for our Rotarians, families and friends on the Island of Maui. The fires across the island have changed lives forever. Truly devastating. Our sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with everyone impacted.

Many of you have asked how we can serve. See the attached flyer that has the QR code for the D5000 Maui Fire Relief Fund, and instructions on how we can assist our friends. Donations can be made via PayPal, Debit or Credit cards.
