Rotary @ the RockHounds event was a **HUGE** success! Thank you to everyone who participated in our first community awareness event to raise funds and share in our efforts to eradicate Polio. In front of a sell out crowd, with the RockHounds pulling out a win (again!) we were able to reach out to many members of the Permian Basin and have fun doing it! Read on to see just how much we raised...

Remember we will not be meeting this Thursday July 3rd - instead join us for a Rotary Day in Midland, TX at the Star Spangled Salute - Downtown Midland on Friday July 4th! All three Midland clubs will be working together to share Rotary with our community so be sure to come by and get your light up Rotary flashlights, Bubble Guns, Necklace & Bracelet,  or Sunglasses so you can help us LIGHT UP ROTARY! Look for us in the parking lot of the old Midland County Courthouse ~

Extra! Extra! Read all about it! Friends & Fellow Rotarians, the time has come for new presidents around the globe to step foot into a position of leadership and make great things happen in their communities. I know they share my excitement as we all come together to "Light Up Rotary" for the 2014-2015 year!! Tomorrow is the first day on the job, so we are literally THIS CLOSE!

When Richard Dunham returned to Midland in 2013 after treatment at MD Anderson, he brought with him three bottles of champagne and with luck of the draw from a deck of cards three members went home with his gift. Jean Jones, one of the lucky recipients brought her bottle to our End of Year social and made a very special toast to two long time members who will be greatly missed by our club. Glasses raised, we joined together to honor Richard Dunham and James Groce - Thank you both for touching our lives through your service in Rotary!

As incoming President of the Midland Rotary Club, I want to challenge each of you if you have not done so already to strive THIS year make the transition from being a member of Rotary to becoming a Rotarian. Rotary is more than a club, it is a way of life. It only takes a little spark to ignite a fire…I want to Light Up Rotary, our Board of Directors want to Light Up Rotary… Who else wants to LIGHT UP ROTARY?!!!

Welcome to our Rotary Club!
