Anchorage Police Chief Doll and Deputy Chief McCoy will be the presenter's at this week's AIR Zoom meeting. The Anchorage Police Department was founded in 1921 and is the largest law enforcement agency in the state. The department of more than 400 sworn officers delivers police service to over 300,000 residents in the Anchorage service area which spans from Eklutna to Girdwood, about 200 square miles. 
 
Chief Justin Doll
 
​Chief Justin Doll has served as the Chief of Police for the Anchorage Police Department (APD) from June 2017 to present.
 
He is a lifelong Alaskan with close ties to the community having moved here with his family when he was young. He graduated from West High School and continued his education at the University of Alaska Anchorage receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Alaska Southeast.
 
Before beginning in law enforcement, Chief Doll enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves and served until 2001. In 1996, he joined APD as a recruit in the Academy. Over the course of his 20 plus year career, he has held command positions in the Patrol Division, Traffic, Homicide and Robbery/Assault Units, and the Crime Suppression Division. He also spent time as a member of the Bomb Squad and SWAT Units and even returned to the police academy as an instructor. His formal law enforcement education did not end at APD’s academy, he is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy and the National Executive Institute.
 
Chief Doll is a member of several professional organizations including the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), the FBI National Academy Associates (FBINAA), the National Executive Institute Associates (NEIA), and the Alaska Police Standards Council (APSC).
 
Chief Doll and his wife Monique have been married nearly 20 years.
 
Deputy Chief Ken McCoy has been with APD for over 22 years.
 
He has served throughout the department and has held command assignments in Patrol, Detectives and Internal Affairs.
 
He graduated from Bartlett High School in 1988, has a Bachelor’s Degree in Justice from the University of Alaska Anchorage and a criminal justice graduate certificate from the University of Virginia. DC McCoy is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy.
