The Municipality of Anchorage invites the public to a one-hour Memorial Day ceremony to honor and remember the men and women who sacrificed their lives in devotion to liberty, freedom and democracy. The ceremony includes patriotic music, spiritual words and laying of the wreaths to honor the fallen. Confirmed keynote speakers include Anchorage Mayor Ethan Berkowitz and Lt. Gen. Ken Wilsbach, commander of the Alaskan Command and 11th Air Force, and the senior military officer in Alaska.
