Come join us for a quick Halloween event for the kids at AK Child and Family. Trick or Treaters stay in one spot and the treats drive by. The students residing at AK Child & Family are unable to trick or treat in the community for Halloween. AK Child & Family staff invite you to Trunk or Treat with our students on 10/28/22 after our club meeting. AK Child & Family employees will be decorating their vehicles as there will be a contest for the best trunk and you could win too! Vehicles do not have to be decorated, you may simply hand out treats or fun little items. DJ Shari is said to have picked out her costume and will have spooky music playing. Speaking of spooky. Please make sure items given to students can be in their rooms and isn’t a safety hazard. The kids love Mardi Gras beads, pencils, candy, pens, stickers, sun glasses, plastic rings, bracelets, candy, magic games, candy, mini games, more candy and book markers. The foster youth have also been invited so we may have up to 60 youth come through. Leftovers will be shared with those who do not attend.

Postponed, standby for new date. Brig Gen Tony Stratton has generously offered us a behind the scenes look at the 176th WG. We'll be getting mission briefs and walkthroughs of thier aircraft, equipment, and facilities. We'll need to know exactly who is going ahead of time because we'll have to obtain base access. Ask Jay for details. |
