Family Movie Night: The Secret Life of Pets

The Rotary Club of Seatuck Cove is pleased to announce the Summer Movie Night schedule that will get underway on Friday, May 19, 2017. Five movie nights will fill the outdoor screen before the final show is staged on September 15.

Most importantly, the movies can be enjoyed without any cost or offering whatsoever. South Bay Bible Church also provides movie theater-style refreshments without cost. The church hopes these “no strings attached” events brighten the community. “We just want people to know that God loves them,” said Martin Hawley, senior pastor.

Summer Movie Nights at South Bay Bible Church will start with The Secret Life of Pets. What do our pets do all day when we're not home? For the critters living in a Manhattan apartment building, the answer is: whatever they want! A terrier named Max regularly invites his friends to hang out at his place while his owner is gone, but his quiet life turns chaotic when his owner takes in Duke, a stray mutt whom Max instantly dislikes. Their feud eventually causes both of them to get lost in New York City, and as they work together to find their way home, they cross paths with a vicious bunny who plans to lead a group of abandoned pets on a mission of revenge against humanity.

Open seating begins at 7:30 p.m., and The Secret Life of Pets starts at 8:00 p.m.

All movie nights will be screened on the front lawn of South Bay Bible Church at 578 Montauk Highway, East Moriches, New York. All movie enthusiasts are welcome to attend. No reservations are required. Please bring your own lawn chairs and/or ground blankets. Movie nights are now rain or shine with the addition of a new Fellowship Tent at the church.
