BIO: Susan Taylor represents Scripps Health to the community, patient groups and leaders throughout the region. She joined Scripps in 2011 after more than 15 years as an award-winning San Diego news anchor for NBC. As executive director of external affairs, Susan plays a critical role in raising awareness and understanding of Scripps’ programs, facilities and services. A 2011 recipient of the San Diego Women Who Mean Business Award, Susan is a spokesperson for the San Diego Police Foundation’s internet campaign against cyberbullying. Susan seeks out adventure. During her career in TV news, she has been shot at, she has been in 3 riots and a hostage situation. And to relax, she has gone parasailing off an 11,000 foot mountain in Colorado.
