Last January 26, over 160 Peninsula area residents and friends gathered to celebrate the Year of the Dragon at the Zen Peninsula Restaurant.  They enjoyed a  10 course Chinese banquet, were entertained by the internationally honored Gee Yung Dragon and Lion Dancers and helped kickoff the City of Millbrae’s 2012 Lunar New Year Festival.

Net proceeds from this fundraiser helped to support several Rotary Club community youth service projects, including

  •  The Millbrae Community Youth Center
  •  Kids’ Carnival at Rotary Park
  •  Dictionaries for all Millbrae third graders
  •  Lomita Park School accelerated math program equipment
  •  Taylor Middle and Mills High School student scholarships
