Our international committee members participated in zoom presentations that described the global grants initiated in District 5150 by other clubs that were seeking funding. Following an evaluation of those presentations, we recommended to our Board that our club allocate a total of $12,000 in available DDF fund to support six of those grants:
 
Education focused grants
$3000 -  Digital Learning tools for 800 tribal girls grades 5-12, Andra Pradesh India, RC of Burlingame
$3000 – Primebooks for students in India, RC of Foster City
Water focused grants
$1500 - Community drinking water project in Nepal, RC of Novato
$1500 - Water purification for a girls school in Kenya, RC Novato Sunrise
$1500 – Irrigation Aqueduct in Morocco, RC of San Carlos
Health focused grants
$1500 – Women and children’s medical and dental program in the Phillippines, RC of San Bruno
              Our recommendation was approved by the Board and transfers were made to these projects. In addition, the remainder of our available DDF, $1517, was transferred to support the Rotary Foundation Disaster Response Fund.
