The Rotary Club of Millbrae celebrated 60 years of service to the community. Chartered in 1969, the club has led countless local and international projects. The event featured music by the Brother Buzz Band and recognition from the City of Millbrae, presented by Councilmembers Bob Nguyen and Sissy Riley. The Rotary Club of Millbrae recently celebrated 60 years of service to the community. Chartered in 1969, the club has contributed to countless projects in Millbrae, across the Bay Area, and internationally, supporting causes that reflect Rotary’s commitment to service above self.
The evening brought members together to reflect on the club’s impact and celebrate this milestone. Guests enjoyed live music from the Brother Buzz Band, adding energy and a festive atmosphere to the celebration.
A highlight of the evening was the presentation of a City of Millbrae commendation recognizing the club’s decades of community service. Councilmember Bob Nguyen and Councilmember Sissy Riley joined Millbrae Rotary President Janet Fogarty for the presentation, honoring the club’s continued contributions to the city.
The event was made possible through the efforts of a dedicated planning team led by Chair Faye Dawdy, with support from Tom Dawdy, Cathy Quigg, and Frank Seebode. Their work helped create a memorable evening that celebrated both the club’s history and its ongoing commitment to the community.
