It's Veteran's Day so Let's do Yoga!

YOGA FOR VETS!  After the research at the Schurig Center for Brain Injury Recovery showed such a marked improvement in sense of wellbeing, we went to the San Francisco VA to tell them about it.  Returning veterans show a high incidence of brain injuries.  The SFVA got very excited about our research and asked us to take our program into the North Bay, where a large number of veterans were living and the distance to get to the SFVA was not practical for attending classes.

We developed the Yoga For Vets Program in 2011 and established it as a 501c3 non-profit.  We provide gear and specially trained instructors to any organization who asks us.  We are currently teaching in the Santa Rosa YMCA and a couple of residential support homes.  We were asked to add classes during the pandemic, due to the stress levels, and have been teaching outside all this time.  One program just got a positive COVID participant and the program there had to be shut down for 2 weeks and our instructor tested.  She tested negative and is looking forward to getting back to work there.
