Our History

Founded in 1984, the Rotary Club of Slidell North Shore has proudly served the Slidell and Northshore communities for more than four decades. Since receiving its charter, the club has remained committed to Rotary International's motto, Service Above Self, bringing together business leaders, professionals, and community members who share a passion for making a difference.

Since its founding, the Rotary Club of Slidell North Shore has become known for its hands-on approach to service. Members volunteer their time, talents, and resources to improve the lives of local families through projects focused on education, youth leadership, health, community beautification, disaster recovery, hunger relief, and support for nonprofit organizations.

The club has proudly:

  • Sponsored students to Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA).
  • Awarded educational scholarships to local students.
  • Partnered with organizations throughout St. Tammany Parish on community service initiatives.
  • Supported maternal and child health projects.
  • Participated in Rotary's fight to eradicate polio worldwide.
  • Worked alongside fellow Rotary clubs on regional service projects and fundraising efforts that benefit local nonprofits.
