ScarboroughTwilight Rotary Club adds new members
On August 22nd, 2012, District 7070 Governor TED KOIZEL returned to Scarborough Twilight Rotary Club
On August 22nd, 2012, district governor Ted Koizel returned to Scarborough Twilight Rotary club to induct new members, bring the total new members in 2012 to a total of five(5) this rotary year.
Using some of the tools advocated by DG Ted Koizel this year to attract new members, President David Maynes challenged his team to use the rotary coins and the Rotary “Four Way Test” to attract new members.
So far it MUST be working as the club has added five(5) new members in two months this Rotary year.
The club’s focus is on the addition of young professional with busy schedules and young families, looking for the opportunity to give back to their community. This is done through keeping membership dues low and in return members are asked to participate in local and international community projects. Member are asked to commit to attending one(1) hour weekly Rotary meetings with social in the form of Dances and events like the new Youth Jazz event this past spring to highlight young Jazz artist, to raise funds for the club projects.
Making Rotary “affordable and fun” through local family events has enable the club to raise funds for all club projects in the Scarborough community.
The Abbeyfield Senior Home, Christmas Families and Local Food bank projects keep members very active. The Annual Foundation Walk is also full supported by members and friends of Scarborough Twilight Rotary.
The Club wishes to thank DG Ted for taking time out from his busy schedule to attend the ongoing club events.
