A few years ago, one of our members had a fantastic idea for a beneficiary of our fundraiser Moonstruck! - Can-Do Canines. With the proceeds from Moonstruck, we bought a dog named Comet.

But Comet was not born to be just any dog. He is a service dog. He went through foster care with one of our members, Foster Dad, Marv. He then went to prison where he underwent service dog training by real prisoners. When he was released from prison, he met his new master, Alex, who is autistic, and then they continued their training together until finally, on Feb. 24, 2018, he graduated!
Comet has been a trooper along the way...
